The diagram shows common placement names. Every ear is different: a placement label does not tell you which gauge, post length or ring diameter you need.

Use the name to explore a style, and check the individual piece’s dimensions and connection before ordering. For a new or healing piercing, ask your piercer to select and fit the jewellery.
